I'm the new proud owner of...

This AWESOME stroller!


It's a Phil & Ted's Dash stroller. (And no... I did NOT pay full price) I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

You may ask why I'm so excited about it? Because this will be the only stroller I will have to buy for Andrew and the other children we'll have. Look at all the ways it can be converted...



Too cool. I can't wait. I don't think I ever thought I would be so excited about a stroller. I guess I'm a real mom now.

Atlantic Beach

We thought that we would take advantage of our close proximity to the beach one last time before we move next week (tears!). We had a wonderful time - it wasn't busy - wonderful weather - and a nice breeze.

Proof we were there too. Andrew toke a nice nap while we were there - so we were able to get some sun!

We took Andrew down to the water - we have video of that. Andrew took a nose dive into the Ocean - thankfully I was very close! He enjoyed the water up until that point. Anyways - we had a great day!!

You have to be kidding me.

Since Andrew is starting to become more mobile I've started doing some homework on baby proofing. I came across this type of baby gate...



What two year old would be happy in that 4x4 foot jail cell?? I know a pack-n-play does essentially the same thing, but this looks awful! I love how in this picture you see sparkling white carpet, a fire in the fireplace, vases and other art work in places that are easily in reach of the child, and the oh so friendly looking dog that looks like it could pounce at any moment - but it's ok! He's in his jail cell, all is fine in the world.

Crazy.

A Walk Back in Time...

Today we took a little trip to Colonial Williamsburg. We had a wonderful time learning more about that time in our Country's history. It was amazing to see how large Williamsburg was - I had no idea. We really enjoyed looking at all the Colonial homes. Morgan and I might just move there - we LOVE colonial styled homes! Anyways, here are some pictures.


This is the Governor's Palace. Who needs a Governor's Mansion when you can have a Palace? This was the largest building in Williamsburg - even more so than the Capital Building!



There were people dressed up everywhere in the clothes of that time. It made it feel like you had walked back in history.



The Capital Building. This was the first capital of Virginia. Did you know this was were the Revolutionary War started in Virginia? (It also started in Massachusetts in the same week)



Andrew and I in the Armory. They had rifles and other weapons in there that were over 300 years old - pretty neat.



Andrew started to act up - so we put him in this contraption for a while. (He was actually an ANGEL all day long)



Once Andrew got out - he ordered us in for a few hours. :-)



We walked through some of the streets to pick out "our homes." This was mine - isn't it a beauty?!

This was Morgan's house. I think that it will be big enough.... not sure though....


While we were there I reflected on how grateful I am for the faith of our Founding Fathers. I cannot imagine what they must have gone through to ensure the liberties and freedoms that we take for granted today. I know that our Founding Fathers were lead and inspired by our loving Heavenly Father. I'm so grateful that they knew and understood the importance of religion and were able to found our nation upon that. It's good to think about those types of things - makes you proud to be an American!

Strawberry Pickin'

We decided to soak up the wonderful weather (highs in the mid 70's! heavenly!) by going strawberry picking. I was introduced to strawberry picking when we were in Maine during the summer of 2007. Its some what a tradition in the Stinson family, so we thought that we would continue it. We ended up picking 10 pounds of strawberries! YUM! We've already enjoyed some strawberry-banana smoothies and are excited for some more treats like strawberry lemonade and strawberry shortcake!

They had a petting zoo. (No Andrew did not touch anything!) But they had a random peacock - so I toke a picture.


After picking strawberries we toke a nice drive through the country. It was fun sitting back with my little boy - how cute is he!

We're headed up to Colonial Williamsburg tomorrow for a day trip - so look out for a new post on Friday!
