Little Miss Nora Jean

Little Miss Nora Jean is here!

February 24, 2012
3:22 pm
7 lb. 10 oz.
20 1/2 inches

This labor was amazing! Only 6 hours, and 15 minutes of pushing. Purely textbook. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. We're all doing great transitioning to a family of four and falling hopelessly in love with Little Nora.

More to come....

Lunch Date

Today was the PERFECT day to get outside and enjoy the amazing weather. It was also perfect timing to have one last outing with my little man while I'm still technically a mom of one. We had a wonderful time. We enjoyed a nice picnic lunch while watching ducks. After that we went to the little zoo the park has. Andrew's been a few times - but he enjoyed it far more this time than he ever has before.

Highlights included watching the bears. He probably watched them for close to 20 minutes. He was chatting about them the whole time. (which you know I loved hearing!) Looking at the bald eagle. He LOVES them. It reminds me of my little sister when she was young - she loved her bald eagles too. Lastly looking at the turtles, alligators, and owls.

I loved every minute of it. Although I'm so excited for Nora to join our family, I'm going to miss these little dates that Andrew and I have so often. He's such a sweet little boy. I'm so glad he's mine! And of course, no exciting outing is complete with a little snooze on the couch. Love him!

Nesting at it's best.

I have been working on a list for the past month or so of all the things that needed to be done before Nora comes (tomorrow). I can officially say.... IT IS ALL DONE! This picture just sums up all the crazy little things I've been up to.

Yes, it's a boiling pot full of every pacifier imaginable. My older sis, Rachel, tried pretty much every single paci on the market with her youngest. She took to none of them. I was happy to take them off her hands. Hopefully Nora takes to one of them, I love having babies who love their pacis!

Valentines Day

I had a great time with my two boys for Valentines Day. We started the day by headed to story time at the library. Andrew got to hand out Valentines to some of his friends from church. (I was impressed that he actually let go of the candy.... he has such a sweet tooth). He also made a Valentine for Morgan while at the library. (They do SUCH a great job with Story Time at our local library!)
We then stopped by Dunkin Donuts to pick up some heart shaped donuts and then headed over to see Morgan at school. It was nice to see him, considering that he wouldn't be getting home until after 8 that night. Not to fear, our evening was not a bust. A good friend of mine, who's husband is in that same late class as Morgan invited us to go get frozen yogurt. We enjoyed getting out of the house again. All in all, a great Valentines Day! (Not to mention, Morgan came home bearing flowers... which are beautiful.... best thing about them.. almost 10 days later, and they are still very much alive!!)

Baby Shower

Since this was my first pregnancy living around my family, my sisters and mom insisted on throwing me (and baby Nora) a baby shower. It was so nice, it was easy to see that a lot of effort went into the luncheon!

LOVE my sisters!

Look Who's 30!

Yes, we definitely put all 30 candles on his cake! We celebrated with my family early in the month. When his actual birthday (the 17th) rolled around Andrew and I surprised him at school with a cake during a luncheon his program was having. Later that night we hired a babysitter and just he and I went to a local steak house for dinner (yum!). Here's to being 30, Morgan!

Lingo

We're in nap time lingo over at our house. Yesterday Andrew refused to take a nap. So... right on cue when I was making dinner and realized that it had gotten mighty quiet, I look into the family room to find the little man passed out. (thankfully today he took a nap!)

Yes, Andrew sleeps with several stuffed animals. Pictured here: two snakes, Bananas the Bear, Minnie and Mickey Mouse. (not pictured: Dolphin and Caterpillar)
