Christmas Break

Here's the run down -
-Best Christmas gift - Andrew! (The Starbucks syrups came in close second... :-) )
-LOVED being in Ellijay at my Grandparent's mountain home - it was so enjoyable. While in the mountains we enjoyed some good BBQ, fried apple pies, and took at trip to see Amacalola Falls. Sadly it was really foggy, but nice none the less.
-Day after Christmas - going to West GA to see Granddad and family, we loved the "snow"
-Best game - Laura & Chris' new game Settlers of Catan - we've played it almost nightly. (Although Morgan, Jeremy & Kayla enjoyed Hungry Hippos!)
-Loved all the movies - Fred Claus, Dark Knight, Wall-E, Get Smart
-Favorite pastime of Andrew - watching the ceiling fan, favorite pastime of Emily - napping, favorite pastime of Morgan - fun reading! No textbooks!!!
-Most Memorable - Christmas Eve - reacting the Nativity with Andrew as Baby Jesus, Kayla as Mary, and Gavin as Joseph.

Anyways, here are some pictures of what we've been up to.

Best Christmas gift - ever.

I'm totally convinced that he's the Real McCoy. Andrew looks convinced as well.

This is how Andrew feels about shots..

Poor little guy - he did great for the first few hours after the appointment, but then the frowns came out and the flood gates opened up. Thank goodness for Tylenol.

Here are his 2 month stats:

Height: 24 inches - 95th percentile
Weight - 14 lbs. 13 oz. - that's ABOVE the 97th percentile

I have a BIG boy.

Andrew's Blessing Day

Today Andrew was Blessed. Morgan did a wonderful job - it was a really sweet blessing. Andrew was awake - but perfectly silent during it - Way to Go Andrew!! Oh, we love him so much!

My parents, my sister and her family, and Morgan's parents were able to be here for the Blessing. It was nice having them here!!

Here are some pictures of our Sweet Son and our Family.

My mom crocheted the blanket - she did a great job!! He looks so handsome with those knee socks!!

We ALMOST snapped his smile - yes - he's sharing his smiles with us now :-)

My happy family :-)

If I didn't think I was short before, I do after looking at this picture.... (That's us with Morgan's Parents)

Thanksgiving Break...

To see what we've been up to - head on over to my sister's blog.... She has photos of all the little "natives" as my mom calls them (all of our crazy kids)

http://jeremyandrachelmatthews.blogspot.com/

P.S. yes, our blogs are identical - BUT I had mine this way about a week before she did. I guess sisters think the same.... :-)

I Survived.

I went to the doctor today for my 6 week post-natal check up. After all the tests and procedures were done.... the doctor exclaimed:

Well - You Survived Childbirth! Congratulations!

I chuckled. I'm glad he feels the same way I do. :-)

First "Snow"

I know you can't see it - but when we woke up this morning and looked outside - there were flurries coming out of the sky - we had to take a photo (even though it doesn't look like proof!) Living in a coastal climate this opportunity comes few and far between!

I love my two boys!

We Survived!

Andrew and I had a great time in Georgia - He was WONDERFUL on both flights! He slept most of the time on the way there and back. It was fun seeing my parents, grandparents, and most of my siblings. I think that my sister, Rachel, is enjoying her new title as "Aunt Rachel."

Cute Little Andrew on the plane.

Mikayla was great with Andrew. I think that she was smitten with him!

How cute is he?! I love little boys in overalls!

We had a great time, but were happy to get home and spend time with Morgan/Daddy. He missed his little guy! I don't blame him!
