The poor little guy just would not fall asleep this afternoon. This is when he finally gave in to sleep.... at dinner time.

Back to School...
Watch out UGA - Here comes Morgan!

After breakfast we proceed to the window so Andrew and I can see daddy off. I think that this will be a fun tradition to have!
So, now I've entered back into real life. Being home with Andrew and not seeing Morgan/dad until late a night. (thankfully there are a lot of other girls in the ward with similar situations!) Even though we'll miss him, we know that this is a sacrifice that we must make. We're really proud of Morgan/daddy and all that he is doing to earn this next step in his education.
It's here. Morgan's starting his PhD. Up to this point, Morgan has been busy with orientations and meetings. He said he already felt a little overwhelmed - even before school started! We know that he'll do well - he's very studious. (A trait that I adore in him...)
Andrew was really excited for Morgan to start school - look at that smile! He's just so proud of his daddy.
Since Morgan won't be home at dinner time most days (sad!), We've decided that we are going to try really hard to have breakfast together as a family. It's been fun so far. Isn't this egg sandwich too cute?

Smart boy!
The other morning after Morgan had left I had turned on one of the morning talk shows. I then went on to clean up the kitchen when I see Andrew with the remote in his hand.... changing the channel to Sesame Street, then proceeding to crawl up to the TV and watch Elmo.
I knew that kids were getting smarter and smarter, but this has to be a record :-)
(please note: Andrew doesn't watch TV yet... he's too little!)

Messy Messy Food
We have recently started introducing more "real" food to Andrew - it's been a lot of fun seeing him figure out how to eat different things. (it gets a little funny sometimes due to the fact that he still has no teeth.... yet...) We haven't come across anything that this boy doesn't like - I think he might grow up to be a pro-eater. What can I say - the boy loves his food.
The only downside to branching out to new "grown up" foods it how messy they can be. He LOVES Biter Biscuits - but they are SO messy. They are definitely only given to him if I'm about to give him a bath!
Here's an example of how messy said biscuits can be (and how much fun he has getting messy!)

p.s. If you look at his bottom gums in any of those two pictures- you'll see some pretty swollen gums! Looks like some teeth are getting ready to appear!
July Recap!
What a whirlwind of a month! We've packed so much into this month - so I thought that I would do a quick recap.
We started the month in rainy Maine. Although we rarely saw the sun - we had a WONDERFUL time with Morgan's family. I think that Andrew misses his Papa! (and Mimi too!!)
We started going to the Alpharetta Farmers Market with my mom - it's been a lot of fun!
Andrew's love affair with Lucy picked right back up once we got back to Georgia - he loves crawling around after her.

Andrew got his first basketball. We like that left hand action. We're getting ready to start sending him to Uncle Kim's in the summer for conditioning and training. (he's our retirement fund... haha)

He discovered tupperware. Watch out food containers, Andrew's coming!

We went to the Mountains to spend some time with my grandparents at their mountain home. Andrew had a blast playing with all the little nick nacks. He also was able to scale the whole flight of stairs - yikes! Great Grandma and Grandpa LOVED having him around! (You can see Andrew standing in this pic - he started doing that this month too!!)
I thought that I would throw in a picture of Morgan and I. We are alive, and I promise that this blog isn't a complete shrine to Andrew (but with a smile and chubby cheeks like he has - it's not a bad idea...) We had a great time rafting and camping. Can't wait to do it again (I just won't raft next time...)
And last but not least - we moved to Athens, GA!!!! YEAY! We're still in boxes - but it's nice to be a step closer to being settled. We were so amazed that it only toke less than 90 minutes to move all of our stuff from a storage unit to our townhouse! (Thanks to all the amazing help we had - they all were unbelievable!)
Well, July was great. It really was. Did we have fun? Yes. Would we do it again? In a heartbeat.
Gotta love summer time!
