I'm over the hump!

Hooray. I'm officially 20 weeks pregnant. Yesterday was my "bump day." I was kinda crazy to think that I am already half way through this pregnancy. I "celebrated" bump day by buy a few maternity tops at Ross. (what a cheap great place that carries maternity items!) I also gave myself a pedicure. The baby was pretty active yesterday too. It just made me more excited.:-)

Well, here's to the second half of my pregnancy. I only know it will get less comfortable from here on out, but it is crazy to think that I only about about 4 1/2 months to go.

A blog.... with no pictures :-(

For some reason I feel that I cannot blog unless I have pictures to go along with it. Well, since my camera is in Georgia and I am here in North Carolina... here it goes!

Morgan and I recently went own to Georgia for a quick visit. It was so nice to see my family. It was especially nice to meet Laura's fiance Chris (who is just wonderful). It was really neat to see Lollie so very much in love! I'm excited for the two of them.

I was also nice to see our niece and nephew. I just can't get enough of them! While we were there I went up to the attic to retrieve my parent's old changing table (which matches the steal of a deal crib that we got on Craigslist) and while I was up there I saw all the OLD Fisher Price Little People that me and my siblings played with. I brought them down (there is a school, house, playground... a TON!) and a few other toys we had as kids.... needless to say, Mikayla was on cloud nine! "I LOVE my new toys grandma!" The trick is to remind her that these are "grandmas toys that you can play with while you are here." She has no problem with that, but it's cute how quickly she'll lay claim to things. Gavin was busy rolling all over the place, and it seemed to be that he was beginning the stages of crawling.. Rachel and Jeremy better watch out!

Morgan really enjoyed having a break from school! He always seems to enjoy himself while he's in Georgia. I think that he is just really able to relax and leave school and work mentally. He deserved a break! Although he is taking a class all this summer, it's going to be a lot less strenuous than the past year. He will be seeing clients a ton and working as well, so I think that he'll stay plenty busy.

We topped off our visit to Georgia by visiting the beloved La Parillia with the whole family plus Grandma and Grandpa Scott. La Parillia is by far the best place for Mexican! The next day we had the previous crew plus Grandaddy and Aunt Pam over for Sunday dinner. This marked the first time that there has been a child table at a family dinner in our family (well, since I was really young and our cousins from Utah would come out). I think that Morgan and I will be spending a lot more time at the kid's table for the next 10 years, since we'll be entering.... Parenthood!

We got back and then later that week we found out we were having a boy. It's been really nice knowing what we are having. I really feel that I'm able to bond with him a lot more, now that I can call him my little boy rather than just "baby". I've definitely started having the pregnant emotions come up. We were visiting someone in the hospital and we walked by the babies, once I saw them, I teared up! Morgans wondering what I'm going to be like once I actually get to hold my baby. I reassured him that there will be more tears, come on, he married a sensitive girl! Also, today I made the 'mistake' of reading the child's book "Guess How Much I Love You" (the baby got it for Easter from Gma and Gpa)... yeah, I cried through the whole thing. I guess it comes with the territory.

Lastly, once I get my camera, I will post some pics of the belly. I think that I definitely look pregnant now, thank goodness I'm out of the chubby stage!

Sorry for the lengthy post, I'll try to be better about posting... :-)

Drum Roll Please.....

Morgan and I went to our Ultrasound today and we found out that we are having a
BOY!
It was so amazing being able to see our baby! It's truely love at first sight (although, I think the love started instantly when we found out we were pregnant). It was fun being able to see him move around and show the little personality that he already has! We are SOO excited!!
Enjoy the photos! (I have them rotated so that they are in the best perspective for viewing)
This is the baby's footprint

The baby's profile

He's all boy!

This is a picture of him doing "#1" with his little hand (He is number one!)

This is him playing peek a boo. It may take a while to see it, but he was playing with us! He did this right after the Ultrasound tech went to get a good look of his face. We thought it was cute.

Stinson Update...

It's been a while since I've sat down to post on our blog! Morgan and I have been enjoying the warm weather that has made it's way to Greenville. I'm excited to be hopefully hitting the beaches in about a month!

Morgan is finishing up his last few weeks as a "first year" marriage and family therapy student. As of today, he is seeing his own patients! He's been transitioning for the past few weeks, but he is fully responsible for them now! (yikes!) That also means that he will be spending more time up on Campus, and less at home :-(. I've borrowed a few books from some friends and my mom, and have a ton of scrap booking to do.... so I think that I'll be able to enjoy the quiet time while I have it.

I'm officially in my second trimester of my pregnancy! I have felt great! Besides the almost daily heartburn (which I've NEVER had until being pregnant) I've been on easy street. I'm in the awful transition between normal and maternity clothes. If I'm wearing maternity tops, I look like I'm wearing a bag, and if I'm wearing my normal tops, I look like I'm pretty darn chubby. I'll be happy once I'm over this limbo thing. We find out in 3 weeks what we are having! I'm so excited, I really hope the baby cooperates!

While I was on my spring break (I never realized how much teachers look forward to spring break!) I went down to Georgia to spend Easter with my family. I had such a great time! It was so nice to be there for a week and really be able to enjoy my family. Unfortunately, Morgan was not able to go, but he survived. Here are some pictures of Rachel's kiddos. They are just so much fun. I really enjoy Gavin, thinking that he is the exact age of what my baby will be in just one year!! (his birthday is Oct 22, my due date is Oct 15).

Me and Mr. Gavin outside on Easter
I like this photo, I love it when Mikayla and I have time just to talk! I love talking to 3-4 year olds. They have so much to say, and do it in the cutest way!
Mr. Gavin with his BIG grin!
Here is a video that is just too cute to pass by. It's Gavin "flapping his wings" and giggling...
