Morgan is finishing up his last few weeks as a "first year" marriage and family therapy student. As of today, he is seeing his own patients! He's been transitioning for the past few weeks, but he is fully responsible for them now! (yikes!) That also means that he will be spending more time up on Campus, and less at home :-(. I've borrowed a few books from some friends and my mom, and have a ton of scrap booking to do.... so I think that I'll be able to enjoy the quiet time while I have it.
I'm officially in my second trimester of my pregnancy! I have felt great! Besides the almost daily heartburn (which I've NEVER had until being pregnant) I've been on easy street. I'm in the awful transition between normal and maternity clothes. If I'm wearing maternity tops, I look like I'm wearing a bag, and if I'm wearing my normal tops, I look like I'm pretty darn chubby. I'll be happy once I'm over this limbo thing. We find out in 3 weeks what we are having! I'm so excited, I really hope the baby cooperates!
While I was on my spring break (I never realized how much teachers look forward to spring break!) I went down to Georgia to spend Easter with my family. I had such a great time! It was so nice to be there for a week and really be able to enjoy my family. Unfortunately, Morgan was not able to go, but he survived. Here are some pictures of Rachel's kiddos. They are just so much fun. I really enjoy Gavin, thinking that he is the exact age of what my baby will be in just one year!! (his birthday is Oct 22, my due date is Oct 15).

I like this photo, I love it when Mikayla and I have time just to talk! I love talking to 3-4 year olds. They have so much to say, and do it in the cutest way!
Mr. Gavin with his BIG grin! Here is a video that is just too cute to pass by. It's Gavin "flapping his wings" and giggling...
I LOVE IT!!! I even refrenced you on my blog so that people could watch it. I love that little giggle! Glad you are feeling well. Love you!

ReplyDeleteI loved this last blog entry. looks like you had a great trip!
ReplyDeleteA quickie tip ... you can "help" your baby to cooperate by drinking some fruit juice before 20-30 minutes before your ultrasound. The spike in blood sugar can make your baby a little more active and mobile ... hopefully giving you (and the technician) a better look. I don't know if this is a wives tale or not, but it always worked (all two times) for us. :)
Keep us posted!
Love,
Julie
Hey Emily! It's Erica, from freshman year. Congrats on your upcoming addition to the family! I'm expecting too, due Aug. 15th, so it's always excited to find friends to share pregnancy with--even from a distance! I know just what you mean about those awkward in between stages pre-maternity clothes. :) Keep me posted! You can check out our blog at ryan-erica.blogspot.com
