My Little 6 Month Old

Six of My Currently Favorite Things About Andrew....
(in no particular order)
1. Andrew has tons of rolls on his thighs. They are just too cute - and it just so happens that his ticklish spot is right where they are.
2. The way he gives kisses to his mama. Seriously. He'll look at me and lean in and give me big juicy kisses. I laugh, he laughs, and then he kisses me some more.
3. I love that now that he can roll, that it is not an option to lay still. He LOVES his mobility.
4. He has the sweetest giggle I've ever heard. I need to record it so I can always remember it.
5. His fuzzy hair. I can't do I thing to it - but that's ok. I love it!
6. The smiles he gives to me and Morgan when we check on him in his crib when he wakes up. (Last night I went in to check on him before I went to sleep and I must have woken him. He opened his eyes and gave me a BIG smile. I laughed, then hugged him, then put him back to bed.) Oh! I LOVE motherhood!

Free book from Barnes & Noble

I have a few friends that this would apply to, so I thought that I'd send the link along.....

P.S. That blog rocks. It's the best place to hear about amazing deals on baby/kid stuff.

Spring Please?

Now, I'm a lover of summer. Just not in the month of April. I love spring weather, and feel that I'm getting jipped a little bit. I think that I may be wishing to be found at a beach by the end of this week. (thank goodness we live close to one for a little bit longer!) Look at those temps!!!

I love "shopping"

Lately my mom, sisters, and I have been really getting in to deal hunting. We scout out blogs and clip coupons and search sales for the best deals. Well, we have gotten the hang of it!! My mom and I have visited Walgreens and CVS a few times while I've been in Georgia. So here's a picture of all that we "bought."

How much did we spend out of pocket??? 20-30 dollars? NO!!!

$1.32
So, with coupons, sales, and Extra Care Bucks/Register Rewards we saved $73.58!!
It's hard (seriously) you have to throw brand loyalty out the door, save your coupons until there are sales, anticipate what you'll need further down the road, and read blogs like no other. But- it's SO fun!!
Want to get in on the fun? Here are a few blogs to add to your Google Reader....
And for those in the South.... http://www.southernsavers.com
The ladies who do these blogs are amazing. They tell you when the sales are, which coupons to use on what products, and all that jazz. They are amazing.
Now.... GO SAVE!!!

Quick update

We (Emily and Andrew) have been in Georgia for the past week. We thought that it would be wise to let Morgan have some quiet time as he is finishing his Master's Degree. (WhooHoo!!) We flew to Georgia last Friday and are having a great time. Here are some updates:

-Easter was very nice. I really enjoyed the Church Service we had. I was able to see my family, plus Grandma and Grandpa (and minus Morgan, Laura & Chris) Andrew was super cute. He was so sweet in his sweater vest. I could have eaten him up.
-We found out that taking 'cousin' pictures is near impossible. (Especially when they are all hungry and tired!! Here's one of the 20 pictures we toke... (Sadly - we didn't get one good one- I think Rachel and I gave up when we started laughing at all of our kids breaking down at the same time.)
- I found a place for us to live in Athens! It's similar in many respects to what we are living in now. I'm just grateful for the wonderful members of the church there! They saved me from living in a scary place! (trust me, I went into some dives!) While my mom and I were in Athens, Rachel watched Andrew for me. I think that her kids enjoyed having their cousin around. I think that Gavin enjoys "talking" to Drew. Gavin has his own language (babble) that is just too cute.

(I love this pic - I just know that Gavin and Drew are going to be buddies!!!)
-I have been bitten by the Garage Sale bug! Mom, Andrew & I went garage sale-ing on Friday morning. I got some AMAZING deals. I'm amazed with all the clothing & shoes I was able to get for Andrew.
I think that's been about it. My sister Laura & her husband Chris are coming to town on Monday. I'm so excited to see her. It's been since Christmas - too long! Anyways, hope all is well!!!
