OK Ya'll. Get ready for a TON of pictures!
Back in February we went to Disney World! Morgan had a conference down there so we took the opportunity to follow him down and make a family vacation out of it. Boy, did we have a WONDERFUL time.
About three weeks before going to Disney I made a countdown to do with Andrew. He loved it. Each day there was a new Disney fun idea or task to do. Some days were simply "watch a Disney movie" or "have a Disney dance party."
A few of them involved food...
Other days had us getting ready for the trip. It was a great way to get Andrew (and the rest of us) super excited for the trip.
Day One.
Morgan was at his conference all day long, so I braved the Magic Kingdom on my own with two kids. It was surprisingly easy. Granted the crowds were minimal and we had a Guest Assistance pass for Andrew which cut down the wait times to just minutes. (which made a great trip into a simply magical one!)
Andrew loved riding the "Oso Train" aka the Monorail. Once in the park - the real fun began!
Any one who knew me as a child knows that I love Dumbo! Thankfully Andrew takes after his mom and was so excited to ride Dumbo. It was the first ride we went on.
We all loved it! Nora just giggled and Andrew made sure that our Dumbo flew as high as he could.
We later rode (some multiple times) the Little Mermaid Ride, Winnie the Pooh (which Nora LOVED), Aladdin's flying carpet, The Jungle Cruise, and the Walt Disney World Railroad (which Andrew loved)
Midway through the day we watched a parade then a show.
We also saw Snow White, Minnie, Daisy, and Mickey!
(Andrew was absolutely Twitterpated when he saw Minnie!)
Day Two.
We spent the morning at Downtown Disney while Morgan was at his conference. All the shops and little statues were fun.
The Lego store was amazing!
Right before lunch we were able to pick up Morgan and head to the Magic Kingdom again.
Pluto was there to greet us!
Andrew wanted to hit up Dumbo again. (again, I didn't mind!)
Andrew and Morgan rode Goofy's Barnstormer roller coaster... which Andrew LOVED.
Nora spent a lot of time like this...
We rode all the rides we rode the previous day plus a few more...
Look how serious I look shooting Aliens on Buzz Lightyear's Ranger spin. I need to lighten up!
We also rode It's a Small World, Peter Pan's Flight (Andrew thought it was pretty cool to fly in a boat), Tomorrowland's People Mover, and the Carousel of Progress (which was a nap time for the kids!)
We also accidentally sent Morgan and Andrew on Stitch's Great Escape... if you have kids with any sensory issues - PASS this! It was a little much for little Andrew and Morgan.
We also were able to watch two parades. The day time one and the nighttime Electrical Parade - which was AMAZING.
Andrew loved seeing Pinocchio! (He loves that movie!)
Andrew loved the pumpkins on Cinderella's float (the kid is crazy over pumpkins!)
I just so happened to be wearing my Mary Poppins shirt (my favorite Disney movie) Mary herself waved and applauded me :-)
Like I said before, we stayed until the Electrical Parade. It was amazing. Disney knows how to put on a good show.
Day 3
After two busy days in the park we took Saturday nice and easy. While Morgan finished up his conference we explored Disney's All Star Movie Resort. There were tons of these statues that the kids loved.
We picked up Morgan and then headed back to our hotel and enjoyed the putt putt and the pool.
Day 4 Nora's Birthday!
We made reservations for a character breakfast on our last morning. Andrew and Nora LOVED it. Minnie actually sang to Nora. I think it was a pretty special way to celebrate her birthday!
Nora LOVED Goofy. He spent a good bit of time with her.
Andrew was totally in love with Minnie. His true love!
Singing Happy Birthday...
All in all we had an AMAZING trip. Andrew will ask us every week or so when we are going back. I'm so glad we were able to make some great memories there. Andrew truly had a blast, as did the rest of us. I felt like a kid while we were there too! Disney really is a magical place!
